James Randolph proudly served 11 years active duty in the US Navy, then 10 years at the 113th Washington D.C. Air National Guard, retiring honorably in March 2022. His tours included being stationed at JMF St. Mawgan, UK where he was a Sonar Technician, after which he cross-rated to become an Aviation Structural Mechanic (Egress) assigned to VF-101 Grim Reapers at NAS Oceana. Next he transferred to the Mighty Shrikes, VFA 94 at NAS Lemoore, and was deployed aboard the USS Nimitz in 2005. Upon return from cruise, VFA 94 became an expeditionary unit assigned to the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, where James was deployed 3 times. He has first hand maintenance experience on the F/A-18 A-D Hornet, F-14 B/D Tomcat, and F-16 C/D Falcon.
James has an Associates Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force (2015), a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Cum Laude from the University of Maryland University College (2011), and a Master of Arts in Leadership in Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University (2017), with a focus on Special Education.
He has three children: two young adults that live in Hawaii, and one school age boy who lives with James and his cat Odion in Ridgecrest, CA. James is also a private pilot based out of Inyokern (KIYK).
